A born communicator, Gordon was raised in Aberdeen, Scotland. At 23 he was one of BBC News’ youngest-ever network television producers, helping cover the biggest domestic and international stories of recent years.
He later established his expertise within the publishing sector as editor of the world’s biggest-selling commercial aviation magazine. This sharpened his focus on the three A’s: ‘aeroplanes, airlines, and airports‘. As of January 2024, he is Airlines Editor at Skift.
A two-times nominee at the Aerospace Media Awards, his earlier bylines include The Mail on Sunday, Executive Traveller, Inflight, Airliner World and Onboard Hospitality. Known for considered and authoritative analysis, his contributions have appeared in The Sunday Times, Condé Nast Traveller, Forbes, The Independent and on BBC Radio 5 Live.
